Costa Rica Update!

See, I told you I would not be good at writing often! Also, not much has been happening so it feels like I don’t have much to report anyway. This second month in CR has been harder than the first. Starting to feel the toll of being away from friends, family, Pumba and honestly just the convenience of a car. I have been spending a lot of time at the beach or on the patio at my Airbnb reading or researching my next leg of travel. I will be in the Cornwall area for about 10 days at the end of March, then Emma and I are road tripping around Ireland. Next, we will hop over to the south of France to scatter some of Joanie’s ashes at her favorite destination, Emma will go back to the States, and I will head back to England for a couple house/dog sits in the northeastern regions of the country. By mid-May I will have another 10ish day gap between my house sits and I am going to spend that time journeying through Norway. My last month abroad will wrap up back in the UK with time spent at a house sit in the Birmingham, England area followed by a road trip through Scotland! Then once finally back home in Minnesota, about mid-June, I will have a few days to unpack and then load up my car for a 3-week road trip with Lisa and Pumba! We will be journeying to Idaho for my cousin’s wedding and then taking time to visit the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Then again back in Minnesota, there are some tentative travel plans after that for July and August but those are less concrete as of right now. All this to say that I have had a great outlet for my mind these past couple weeks, lots and lots to plan!
I do still have 1 week left in Costa Rica and I will be spending that soaking up the sun in Puerto Viejo before taking 24 hours to make my way over to Playa Del Coco for a 3-day scuba diving certification course! I’m excited for this next week but also really excited to be back in Minnesota for 2 weeks, I am looking forward to spending time with my friends and family along with taking car rides with Pumba to Starbucks, literally my first stop.
Oh, I guess I should also put out a little college update for all the adults that seem to really care about that for some reason, classes are going well, and I will end 3 of my courses in mid-March and then start 3 new courses and be done done in May. Grades are going well, which to be honest I usually never look at my grades, I operate best under the assumption that if I turn in things on time and do what is asked then I will at least be passing, so I am happy to report that I am indeed passing and then some! Okay now if you have read this paragraph there is no reason to have to ask me about classes in person, can we make that a deal?
Well, I don’t think I will be posting on here until I am back in Minnesota, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed that my flights are safe and that I don’t have too much of a culture shock re-entering the USA now that I have spent time in a country where healthcare is affordable and a human right, public support programs are funded, indigenous and minority groups are protected and cared for, and the land and environment are at the forefront of everyone’s mind and not a victim to profit.
